Joseph A Miranda
Joe Miranda founded the firm of Joseph A Miranda PC in 1993 and later changed the firm structure to Joseph A Miranda LLC. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of New Haven with a BS degree in Accounting. He also received an MS degree in Taxation in 1993. He was actively involved as a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs State Taxation Committee for many years, including serving as Chairman of the Committee for a year. During his time on the Committee he co-developed two Connecticut Sales and Use Tax courses for CPAs and taught the courses for several years. He also lectured at various other tax seminars. He has been actively involved in community organizations and is a past-Treasurer for his church. He is a former Scout leader and youth soccer coach.
Janet Morganti
Administrative Assistant
Janet Morganti is our administrative assistant who serves as our receptionist, answers your phone calls, handles the routine copying and filing, as well as performing some client bookkeeping and preparing payroll and sales tax returns. She is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement Administration. She is also a graduate of Stone Academy with a diploma in Secretarial Studies. As a former business owner in two very different businesses, she clearly understands the importance of accurate bookkeeping. Janet also volunteers her time as the chairperson of the Durham Economic Development Commission and is involved in numerous community activities.
